Our Boho- inspired Bridal Styled Shoot at the Don Cesar Hotel in St. Petersburg Beach, Florida came together as a jaw-dropping success! I LOVE putting together styled shoots. It is a time to flex my creative muscles…to play the role of planner-for-a-day and watch a vision come to life!

 

 

Styled shoots allow me to collaborate with new vendors, and give those vendors an opportunity to express their newest ideas and favorite styles.

Model Tatsiana Maltseva  is so talented and a dream to work with! She wore a deep v-cut gown by Lillian West, in a collaboration with The Dressing Room, St. Petersburg, and her side fishtail braid and natural makeup by Irina Bilka couldn’t have been more perfect to transform her into a Nomadic Boho Bride.

And seriously…is this bouquet anything short of stunning?? Melanie from Lemon Drops Weddings and Events was happy to hear that we were going for something less traditional, and her use of dried palm fronds and even an ornamental cabbage gave us something unique and truly beautiful to work with!

 

 

Another awesome opportunity a styled shoot allows is to give me experience in a new venue or city, and a feel for shooting other events there. The Don Cesar Hotel has picturesque settings at every turn, and I hope to come back again and again for weddings in the future!

 

 

Finally, working with professional models is so, so valuable to a photographer. Shooting someone who can create seven different looks without taking a step, besides being SO. MUCH. FUN., also teaches me how to direct my own clients to pose creatively and efficiently.
